The sweet and sour harmony of the characteristic taste of sour cherries from a single tree at the Butul Farm, combined with aromatic marjoram from our herb garden, creates a unique jam. With 40% sugar, we emphasize the natural sweetness of the sour cherries, which is complemented by the subtle freshness of the marjoram. Limited quantity, as we use only produce from our own garden. This jam is great for combining with aged cheeses or with game dishes.
Marjoram-Cherry Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup oat or spelt flour
- 1/2 cup butter (melted)
- 1/4 cup Sour Cherry Marmalade with Marjoram
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- Almonds or walnuts for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- In a bowl, mix the melted butter, sugar and egg.
- Add the flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt and mix well to form a uniform dough.
- Using a spoon, form small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- Make a small indentation in the center of each cookie with your finger or spoon.
- Add a small amount of Sour Cherry Marmalade with Marjoram to each well.
- You can add almonds or walnuts on top if you wish.
- Bake the cookies for about 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool before serving.
